The mHEAT KAPI is a Mayekawa plug-and-play standard solution with a strong focus on innovative design, energy efficiency and durability.
The mHEAT KAPI is a standard water-to-water low charge ammonia heat pump designed to deliver best-in-class efficiency, small footprint, and the best sustainable solution. The MYCOM HSIII series of compressors ensures maximum efficiency even in part load conditions. The mHEAT series has been designed for easy and simple installation and a long lifespan. The mHEAT KAPI is designed to meet the needs of industrial markets such as district heating, waste energy recovery, breweries, industrial processes, data centers, building facilities etc.
It is designed with ammonia, a natural refrigerant that gives the highest energy efficiency and the best sustainable solution.
The mHEAT KAPI can provide up to a supply temperature of 90°C with its 60 bar design. It runs with the proven MYCOM HSIII compressor which combines efficiency with reliable robust performance and maintenance with high lift capabilities.
The integrated system cooling of the mHEAT KAPI will ensure minimal ambient heat rejection helping reduce machine room energy consumption. The water-cooled architecture of the mHEAT KAPI also enables a very compact footprint.
All heat pumps come with an EOLT Report (End of line test) that is performed at our factory. The EOLT includes a full load thermal performance test, thermal imaging of key points, and vibration measurements.
Key features & Benefits
-
The mHEAT KAPI uses a MYCOM HSIII reciprocating compressor with cylinder unloading possibilities combined with a variable speed drive. Unlike a screw compressor which loses efficiency steeply as it unloads, our MYCOM HSIII compressor holds a high efficiency across the whole load range. Because most installations run at part load for much of the year, this delivers a real seasonal energy advantage.
-
All the main components of the mHEAT KAPI are water-cooled, and the heat they reject is fed back into the system instead of being dumped to the machine room. This cuts heat rejection by about 90 % versus an equivalent air-cooled installation. The result is far less machine-room cooling.
-
The mHEAT KAPI comes equipped with fully welded shell & plate heat exchangers which have innovative first-in-class multiple functionalities built in, enabling a compact design and improved efficiency.
-
The mHEAT KAPI utilizes the motor winding heating to ensure that the system remains warm during standstill. This eliminates the need for a separator electric heater.
-
The mHEAT KAPI features a sophisticated oil return system that automatically conditions and returns oil to the MYCOM HSIII compressor.
-
The mHEAT KAPI comes with a unique insulation method for the compressor and auxiliary components ensuring condensation prevention as well as improving ease of inspection. This further helps reduce sound emission and heat rejection into the machinery room.
-
Water cooling allows much more compact components, so the whole package is smaller and quieter, and fits most retrofit applications. The unit ships with an integrated spill-containment tray as standard, and with the optional weatherproof enclosure it can be installed outdoors in a footprint significantly smaller than a container.
-
The mHEAT KAPI runs on low charge R717 (ammonia), a natural refrigerant with a GWP of 0. It makes the product not subject to F-gas phase-down, and refrigerant leakage, if any makes no contribution to the carbon footprint.
-
The mHEAT KAPI is a standardized, serial-produced product. This improves component quality and procurement, optimizes stock and production for shorter lead times, and means documentation, and product training is available from the time of ordering.
-
Several units can be operated together under a cascade (sequencing) control scheme that stages capacity up and down to match plant demand and keeps running if one unit stops. By combining units, plant capacities of 15 MW or more can be achieved.
