Eco Design Compliance

The mCHILLER series of standard chillers follow the scope of the ECO design requirements according to the EU-commission regulations:

• Regulation 2015/1095 for medium temperatures (-8°C)

• Regulation 2016/2281 for high temperatures (7°C)

This compliance applies to the mCHILLER FUGU (water-cooled) and mCHILLER TAKA (air-cooled) chiller series across their full capacity range. Seasonal performance (SEPR) for high-temperature and comfort-temperature applications, SCOP for medium-temperature process cooling is calculated in accordance with EN 14825:2019, using KUMO, our in-house selection software, under the standard's specified part-load and temperature-bin conditions rather than single-point full-load ratings.

Meeting these thresholds isn't just a regulatory checkbox: since Ecodesign minimum-efficiency requirements are increasingly referenced in public procurement criteria and green building certifications across the EU, compliance directly supports project-level sustainability documentation as well as the unit's own operating economics.
